Quick Note!

Many of my current photos say they were taken at 28mm. This is a fabrication! I shoot with lenses that came out before the whole auto-focus stuff was even invented, so I have to set the focal length and aperture in my camera's menu since it's a non-CPU lens. For future reference... If it's macro and says something crazy like anything less than 55mm (Because that's me second macro lens' focal length) then it's shot with either my 55mm AI-s or 105mm AI-s. Sorry guys. No wide-angle macro lens yet! Eventually I plan on getting one of those fancy modern lenses but not for the autofocus. If you haven't noticed... my bokeh is about as smooth as b

If it wasn't already evident by the influx of photographs, I'll just go ahead and say it now. I recently got a new camera and can finally take good macro photographs! I'm using a Nikon with some old manual-focus AI-s lenses and one of those fancy new AF-s lenses (The AI-s lenses are built like a rock while the AF-s G lenses are built like... Polycarbonate) Anyways, expect more photos and specifically more macro shots. I'm going up to Boston soon too, so I'll get to do some street photography, so expect some of that too. Aaaaand that's about it... :D

Ocarinas

0 min read
So pretty much right now, I'm working on making ocarinas! I should make a tutorial...hmmm... BUT FINALS ARE HERE AND I GOTTA STUDY... Anyways, I'll be posting all of my new ocarinas here, I just might sell a few once I work out the shrinkage percentages and how that affects pitch, I'm also working on a guide to fipple design, probably containing different fipple designs and their pros and cons. Anyways! I've got a lot of work ahead of me, good think it's gonna be Christmas break soon! Anyways, I'll keep things updated! Adiós!

Hah, thank you! I'm not that in to cosplaying, but they sure are fun to swing around! At least, the... not so fragile ones.
wow.. your ocarina's are beautiful. are you planning to sell one day?
Many thanks! :)

I'm hoping to sell some...someday

When 'someday' is I've got no clue. I've still got to weed out a bunch of quality control problems. Each one ends up sounding a little different than the last! >.<
thanx for the fav
Thanks for the :+fav:
I really appreciate it.
Hey there, thanks!

The keyblades are made by cutting out the basic shape out of plywood, then I take this stuff called DAS (you can find it any any AC moore or Michaels) and I apply that over the wood, it sticks pretty good, then I paint it and give it a few coats of polyurethane, add a pinch of love, then it's done. As far as structural integrity, they're more of a display item. I suppose you could use it if you're one of those hard-core cosplayers that keeps their props in glass cases (not as if I knew any that actually did that, just assuming ^__^). But it's certainly not one of those things that you can go around whacking things with. I generally just have it sitting on a katana stand in my room.

I'm going to try working with resin coated foam core this Christmas break (I can't get anything done thanks to finals), so I might come up with something that can really take a beating...hopefully!
